Chiropractor

I went to the Chiropractor today and he seemed to really help the hip. I didnt run today however, because he felt that I should keep off my feet until our next appointment, which in on Thursday.

I dont even want to discuss what happened last night, but I will say only one thing: It sucks that Auburn's championship will be taken away in a year and not rewarded to the rightful team.

Tomorrow, I have a dentist appointment, which really is not that bad considering it rarely takes over 10 minutes. Hopefully things will be brief and I wont have to be there for any extended period of time. After that I am immediately heading over to Benji's house in Berryville, VA. I always really enjoy going to the Veilleux's. They live on a nice farm and have a pretty sweet house with a lot of different and surprising rooms. He also, is lucky to have some great dirt roads to train on, but I will not be accompanying him on any runs while I am there, unfortunately. Haha its funny the last time I was there I was hurt at about the same time, Deja-vu.

Flash the "O"

Dan and I left around 10 from Georgia and we were suppose to get in by 4 something to Williamsburg, but the freezing rain and snow onslaught that began from South Carolina all the way through North Carolina. Thankfully Dan didnt trust me to drive his car so I didnt have to drive and was able to sloth about in his car, while he was freaking out.

We finally arrived in Williamsburg around 7 something and got chipotle with Baker and Z10. I got the double rice, chicken, mild-sauce, corn, guac burrito. WOW it was delicous I have not had Chipotle in over a week and it was due time for some.
Yumm!!

We soon departed the Gary and headed on towards home. I was pretty anxious to get home, because the Ducks are playing for the title; thankfully Will Majeski was kind enough to send me steady update on the BCS National Championship game between the Mighty Ducks of Oregon vs Auburn. Obviously I really love Oregon and want nothing more from a victory from Oregon. I finally got home for the middle of the 3rd and it is the 4th now! I believe the ducks will pull it out from the 19-11 score. Jerseys are quite sweet like always wouldnt expect anything less from Mr. Phillip Knight.

"O"
Andrew if you read this in time. I think LaMichael will start blurring up the Tigers and Darron Thomas will begin using the simplicity of the offense to his full advantage and start finding the holes. I am writing this rather quick to get to watch the game in its full entirety.

Leaving Florida :/

Ran today, but only for 1.5 miles. My hip felt a little weird with a slight, dull pain so I decided to head back and call it a day. No point in taking this much time off just to rush back into it. I feel terribly out of shape, have not been treating the body too well and thus I am suffering for it.  Sucks, because I was starting to feel pretty good about my fitness for how long I had been at it, but after the past two days when I ran the hip and breathing were worrisome.

Today we left Florida and went to Dan's aunt's house in Richmond Hills, Georgia. It took about 7 hours to get there, but we lost 8 hours, because of the time zone change. Right now I am in a 6th graders' room with Dan about to go to sleep, kinda sucks for Dan's cousin that got kicked out of her room.

I got some things to do so I will leave it to that.

Interesting Run

Today, Dan and I went to the flea market to see if there was anythign interesting to buy. there was a ton of weird stuff: dogs, swords, battle-axes, etc... Dan got a bunch of kitchen stuff, while I stayed frugal.

Today, I ran for the first time in a couple days. It was a beautiful day a nice 60, while everyone else is entrenched in snow. We did a 5 mile run, while I was on this dirt road I fainted when we took a pit stop for a second and landed in the bushes. Before the incident we stopped and I got a heavy head rush, where I felt like I might throw up. I staggered a little and than just collapsed into the bushes. Instantly I was fine after and was ready to go once i got my bearings. But still was very disturbing and strange. I do not think I need to get checked out, but if it happens again I definitely will. Dan said I looked very scary and had never seen me make a face like that, haha. Very interesting and somewhat scary run.

On a positive note, my shin and hip felt pretty good on the run. It hurt for the first couple steps, but I plan on running 6 miles tomorrow.

Dan and I are about to hit up the Pensacola nightlife.

Dan's Pace Run

Since I wasnt running today I decided to film and coach up young Daniels on his 3 mile pace run. He ran pretty fast splitting a 4:48 first mile, second mile was about the same, and than dropping the hammer and rolling to a 4:33 last mile.

We got some footage of the event and I must say Dan was looking good, his shirt was off and its fair to say the Old Grannies on the porches were loving it!

Here is Dan at the one mile just cruising around!:
For the final video Dan just left my golf cart and I in the dust, it was an impressive perfomances and he showed that he will be ready to roll come time for his debut meet in the Green and Gold at the Georgetown Invite on the 14th!:

Dan is also extremely dedicated and somewhat lame as he left me all alone last night at 9 o'clock. Who does that??

Dan requested the Cudi and Mr. West, great choices!

I am going to attempt to get back on my own grind tomorrow with a little run and ran around today following Dan and my hip felt great but my shin was killing me. Just one thing after another, but they are definitely both related.

IMAX

Today is Yazids birthday, everyone give him a happy birthday!!!! Spam the shit oout of this number #(571) 201-5028.

Dan, Gramps, and I went to the Naval Air Museum. It was pretty cool seeing all the planes and space capsules that they had on display. In case you didnt know, Dan's gramps was apart of the Navy, as well as his dad. we saw some of the planes they personally got to fly during their days, which was also pretty neat.

After touring, we went and saw a great flic at the IMAX theatre located conviently in the Naval Air Museum. "Hubble" was absoultely amazing, it showed nebulas and far away galaxies!

The weather is very nice, almost always 60 and temperate. Well im trying to finish my Naruto grind so im getting off and rushing this post.

New Jersey (WM)

So as i said before Coach told me to take the day off, full of stretching and icing.

I plan on going to the supermarket to get a big bag of corn. During the night, my hip was killing me just moving it a little created a lot of strain and pain.

So, Dan and I were chatting it up with our Assistant Coach Ryan and we got the new look that WM CC will be rocking this year with our new sponsors New Balance. They are pretty bland, but they are just the mock ups and apparently we are suppose to get the shorts in black and for championship season yellow tops. I am sure Newbie will hook us up with sweet stuff by next year since we both are going through the awkward feeling each other out phase. Here is the pictures:
seen here first ;)
Rich Rod is out in Michigan.

Workout Tuesday

Dan and I went out to Emerald Beach to run on the Greenway for our fartlek. Dan had a pretty good one, but I ended up quitting after my hip exploded.

Talked to Walshy told me it was okay and to take  well deserved day off tomorrow :). Kinda sucks that my season is starting off so poor, but such is life. I was putting in too much hard work anyways.

The grandparents are taking us out to some Irish (fine) dining that is apparently delicious. I think I ll stop being rexy and eat my pains away.

Dan and I have been using their pools for Ice baths here a couple pictures of Dan doing work in the 49 degree pool.
what a cutie pie!!1

Classic Dan

Sunshine State

It has been quite some time since the last time I've been on my grind. Lots of things have happened since than, but its quite ironic that I come back and I have the same injuries. I guess things never do change.

Dan Grimm and I are at Sunny Florida where the weather is warm, the girls are nice, and the beer is cold... Amen!

Got a Primary workout today, but like I said the hip is a little bothersome so we will see how it goes.

This is a little picture of where Dan and I are staying:

It's called Emerald Beach, because the waters are green and beautiful. :).

Dan and I came down to Florida to get out of the harsh winters of Virginia, i.e. we are babies.

It is pretty sweet, it is so relaxed here at his grandparents house. We are pretty much living as a professional athletes with only one priority (get our run out of the way).

Hopefully this new year I can get my blogspot on a little more with less structure of a running journal.

Monday, March 1, 2010

So i thought i had a midterm this tuesday and i had planened to study all night for it, but guess what??? It's not till THURSDAY! so i will pursue to ice and watch Dragonball until 11, walk home and go to bed.

Today we had our primary workout and coach gave me a surprise with a new pr in a pace run. He shockingly said that i had to do 40 minutes, which is a 5 minute increase in anything i have ever done. I was little worried about my injuries, becasue the warmup was not so hot and my strides were really bad. After first couple steps though things seem to work out. I felt my hip in some parts of the run, but nothing of my shin that was hurting in the very beginning. We went out REAL slow. The slowest i have ever gone out in a pace run and i think spilting down by 20 secs in the next one kind of shocked my legs and set the tone for my workout. We went 5:41, 5:22, 5:19, 5:22, 5:25, 5:21. Afterwards i cool down rather long, because i had to collect my shirt that i left on the rec loop.

Total: 14.2 miles
