so i ll jsut get to the chase and talk about my run. Today Gibby told me that i am running 80 in 6 days this week, meaning that a good 10 miles should suffice. I ended up rolling with max, skeet, tyson, burke, and BJ. We had to be creative for our run today, due to all the snow and slosh preventing us from our usual trails, so we headed out to the P-Head run (President's heads). I had previously never done this run and it was an out and back of about 9.5 miles. It was all on roads, which kind of scared me due to my calves and it band, but nevertheless i went with them.
It was not a bad run at all, i was soaked by the end of it due to the prick drivers that drove uber close to us and spalshed us with ice cold water or slush. When we reached the president's heads it was everything i had imagined and maybe more. we took a little break to view and reminisce and we were on our way back, with occasional snowballs thrown by BJ.
My shins felt great, my calves did not lock up once, which was definitely a success. I could still feel my it band, but that's a given at this point. We did core after and i stretched and iced.
One positive for the day Gibby said i was not racing at CNU this weekend, which is a dream come true as i have no aspirations in any race there. :).. if i have anytime later, which is unlikely i will update this post and give u something ohter than my running log.
