Updating everyone on my school of wizardy rank i am 4,401! oh baby i know! i really stepped up my game, i figured out how everyone got so far ahead, they did the ads that give you a huge boost. So instead of paying i signed up for nextflix for 2 weeks haha. I ended up catching up on californication and watching gattaca for my freshman seminar. Californication is a great show, when i get time i will tell all about it. The reason i bring it up is today is the day that i canceled my subscription :(. Netflix is a pretty good deal, i may try to actually get it, because it seems to be worth it.
Practice today was anything but good, pretty much a disaster. as i warmed up my calf tightened up and felt that my calf was going to explode. i had to stop and stretch for a little bit and ran the last 12 minutes of my warmup by myself. As i got back i foudn out the run was not goign to be a pace run but miles on the track. Meaning it was a primary instead of a secondary. Gibby told us that we would do 6-8. So i started conservative but things just regressed as the workout progressed. I ran 5:00, felt pretty good, than 2nd mile ran 5:03 thought i had another lap, not that that was big deal, than my 3rd was 5:07. I honestly have never done soo badly in a mile workout, since in high school i would average around 4.45. Gibby went to talk to me and was trying to figure out what was wrong w/ me. he told me to run the 800 wiht the group take the 3rd lap offa dn than get back in it for my last lap. I did this it was jut like something had clicked and i ended up running 4:43 (as i did not end up taking the 1200 off). My last mile was a 1200 at 3:48, i could ve kept it, but i just bagged it.
I ended up getting 12.5 miles, as me John and Adley ran together for our cooldown at the end.
I am getting pretty worried about my fitness, but am just trying to be patient. things are just not clicking and i am going backwards. I just realized it as i wrote my times down that like in high school i was running much faster. This kind of sucks, but i ll try not to think of it and really get into my training. Hopefully this week will be good and than next week my primary hopefuly will be solid.
Yeah but in high school you were fresh everyday. You are in the big leagues now and don't need to stress about it. The fitness will come but you need to worry about get the calf/IT band/Quad/ loosened up and get that head of yours tightened back on straight brotha. Everything will work itself out. Be patient.
